Hastings

Project Overview

Location: Hastings
Duration: 2 Weeks

The projectionist room was built as a cantilevered extension, hanging off the side of the main building — which made reaching it, let alone dismantling it, a real challenge. During our surveys, we found that the space contained several asbestos-containing materials, both within the roof structure and underneath the floor. Because of this, the entire room was officially classed as “notifiable asbestos,” meaning it could only be removed by licensed specialists and required extremely careful, controlled handling throughout the demolition.
